Must-Have Baby Products and Simple Hacks

erinmravle

Some items just really are worth the hype. It can be difficult to wade through all the items out there - whether it's a viral instagram product that keeps popping up on your screen or merely getting stuck in the baby section at Target. After two babies I can say with certainty that these are the items we couldn't live without. I hope this helps!

  1. Sleep sack. They'll wear these little sleep sacks for longer than you think.

  2. Baby monitors for your phone and an old school one that has it's own separate display screen device. It's convenient to have a separate monitor so your phone can be free for you to use, no interruptions.

  3. Baby Bjorn travel crib (as opposed to the Graco Pack n Play). The Bjorn is by far more comfortable and the pad sits right on the floor and not on bars raised off the ground.

  4. Buy a good backpack, but not a diaper bag. Diapers bags try too hard and there are way too many compartments. Things get lost in there! I could never fill all those compartments even if I tried! A simple backpack is all you need, in a material that's wipeable.

  5. So, you're on vacation and your toddler needs to sleep in a big bed. Use this hack - just roll up blankets or towels and stuff them underneath the bottom sheet to use as bumpers so they don't fall off the bed. You can also do this at home. No need to purchase the giant bumpers.

  6. So, you're on vacation and the room is too bright. Bring a few black garbage bags and painters tape to put over the windows. You'll feel a little wierd packing these items, but I promise it's worth it.
